Their project matured manufacturing processes required to produce advanced technology for head-worn displays that provide situational awareness for Soldiers.

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2018-- eMagin Corporation, or the Company, (NYSE American:EMAN), a leader in the development, design and manufacture of Active Matrix OLED microdisplays for high resolution imaging products, today announced that the Company, in a joint project with the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command and the Night Vision Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), received the award for Enhancing Military Capability as part of the Defense Manufacturing Technology Achievement Awards.
This award recognizes work that eMagin conducted in collaboration with the Army under the ManTech program. The program’s objectives were to enable the affordable manufacture of full-color, high brightness, high resolution OLED microdisplays utilizing eMagin’s direct patterning technology, which improves luminance and efficiency critical for military applications. This program also established a domestic source for advanced backplane manufacturing for OLED deposition.
