Need Help Connecting ESP8266 WiFi Shield to Arduino Mega

Hi,

So I have an Arduino Mega as well as this ESP8266 based WiFi shield. I am having trouble connecting it to my Arduino Mega as this shield was meant for an Arduino Uno. According to the data sheet on the website, this is supposed to be compatible with the Mega, but I don't know what connections to make. I do understand that I'll be needing to use a voltage divider to drop the 5V from the arduino to around 3.3V for the ESP8266.

My end goal is to make the arduino interface with MATLAB/Simulink through the ESP8266.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
